2022 White Cane Safety Day

DID YOU KNOW? The original white cane was invented in Peoria, Illinois, CICBVI owns it, and we have it on display at the Peoria Riverfront Museum.  That’s something worth celebrating right?

We are excited to celebrate National White Cane Safety Day at the Peoria Riverfront Museum on October 15, 2022 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm.  The Murray Baker bridge will be lighted in our CICBVI colors red and white.  Cocktail hour is 6:00 – 7:00 so that we can enjoy light entertainment, cocktails, and view the bridge.  We will then relocate to the Gilmore Auditorium for dinner and live jazz entertainment.  Tickets are $100 per person.  There will be a special prize for all registered attendees.  Come join us to learn more about the white cane, mingle with our board, staff, and patrons, and enjoy an evening with us as we celebrate National White Cane Safety Day!
